RACING SADDLE - The flat racing saddle is designed to not interfere with a running horse and to be as lightweight as possible. This saddle places the rider in a position that allows a horse the freedom of movement needed to achieve maximum speed. - Please notice that this saddle reduces the rider’s leverage to control the horse and thus it is not suited for general equestrian riding. The racing saddle has a very long seat without a dip to it, combined with extremely forward flaps that accommodate the very short stirrups and extreme forward seat used by jockeys. It also has a flat pommel and cantle so nothing interferes with the jockey. The RC-5503 Racing Saddle has a Fiber Glass tree and has a slightly bigger seat than our RC-5501 Racing Saddle (about 3cm or 1 inch longer). It also has hidden pockets under the flaps to add weight to the saddle in case you need to compensate for the jockey's weight. The average weight for this saddle is about 900gr but may be increased by using the pockets. In order to allow for the pockets feature the flaps are slightly bigger than in the RC-5501 and the RC-5502 Racing Saddles.
